GLENN A. BERGENFIELD: Pretty much all of my cases now are legal malpractice cases on behalf of clients who think that their lawyers have done something that constitutes legal malpractice. I had a general practice for about seven or eight years or so. And I've been doing this particular area for about 20 years. Legal malpractice I feel in some ways has kind of picked me. I didn't go to law school thinking what I really want to do is sue lawyers. I actually hadn't heard of legal malpractice. But those are the cases that I enjoy. Those are the cases that come to me. And I think lawyers in New Jersey think of me when they have a client who's consulted on - - case. Once I take on a case, I'll never give up until there's just absolutely nothing left to do. I'll take the case to trial. If things don't go well for some reason--and some of my cases get thrown out by judges on motions and things--I go to the appellate division. I'm not successful with the appellate division, I'll go to the Supreme Court. If there was a higher court than the New Jersey Supreme Court for my cases, I'd keep going. If I believe in a case, I'll do anything ethical that I can do to win the case.
